Chapter VI: Origins

Sometimes the smallest coincidence can have the biggest consequences. And that’s exactly what happened when one egg fell from the mouth of an autocratic ruler in his dying moments and became the first shrimp on the planet.

All alone in this new world, the shrimp soon got hungry and started nibbling on some seaweed. With a full stomach, the shrimp had enough energy to go on, which allowed for the first offspring to be born. Soon after, when the shrimp population had expanded to 10,000 creatures, a general council decided to cease further reproduction. It wasn’t just a random decision. The council realised that more shrimps would just decrease the value and uniqueness of every existing shrimp. That, and seaweed was in short supply.

Over time, the shrimp learned how to evolve. Thus the first fish appeared. As it was mentioned before, they had no recollection of their existence. Like newborn children they continued to explore the vast underwater world.

Eons passed before the dolphins appeared, and yet more time passed before the sharks found their way into the Open Sea. From here on, the Open Sea existed in stasis. Nothing changed and nothing new ever happened. But then, when the Open Sea needed change the most, nature’s balance shifted in their favour and gave them the greatest gift of all: the mythical whale.

This is how the Royal Reef Club came to be established, tearing down the barriers of the ocean to create the stable economic and spiritual growth of all species. To this day the reef is maintained by those that keep swimming together.
